Sheikh Jarrah II

At the second half of the Sheikh Jarrah project I went astray in the neighborhood’s streets and alleys and avoided the cluttered demonstrations. During my wanderings I tried to locate and isolate signs of violence and negligence. Until 2011 three families have been evacuated from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, in Eastern Jerusalem, and many more families are in endless court discussions involving the legitimacy of their stay. The evacuation is based in the Israeli Law, since 1950, called “Absentees Property”.
